30 day shred day 20

Day 20

IMG_1640 (667x1000) IMG_1639 (667x1000)

Pre-Pregnancy weight: 50kg Pre-pregnancy waist: 24in Pre-pregnancy thighs: 18in

Weight now: 53.4kg (up .6 from yesterday) Waist now: 24.8in(down .2 from yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

Well Well WELL. I’m on the first day of level 3 today AND if I’m being honest, its not as scary as I thought it would be. I mean, the jumping bits with the dumbbells are hard work, but after a while, your arms are so numb, you actually don’t feel anything. I didn’t do the shred yesterday as Baby C is going through a sleep regression which means A: I’m not sleeping much and B: She’s cranky all day long; leaving me no time to even fart.ย  I only have 9 more days of this and then that’s it. Over. No more shredding. Rock hard abs – here I come. *rubs hands in glee* ๐Ÿ™‚

So mum and dad are flying down this weekend – and yes, the house is still in a tip. Ive been sneaking in a tidy up of the garage everytime Baby C naps (which isn’t very often) so the garage is looking marginally better (instead of a big bomb going off in the garage, it resembles a little one at the moment) We have to go to the tip to get rid of a truckload of rubbish – stuff that’s just been sitting int he garage for 7 years – yes, both me and the other half are hoarders. Old car door? Tick. Cabinet cupboards with mis-matching handles? You betcha. Ginormous spiders that look that they’ve been bred on mars? You have to see them to believe it.

We recently bought a Rainforest Jumperoo for Baby C – I mean, the amount of stuff you accumulate when you have a baby is amazing. I mean – my living room is just filled with playmats, toys, and now this jumperoo thing – which actually frightens me a little, I mean, you jump and suddenly there are jungle noises that comes out of the monkey. And I swear that tiger is giving me the evils. How much did I pay for this – a whopping ยฃ76.45. Having a baby makes you go a little wonky I think and all sense of what’s normal just flies out the window.

OK – the baby is down – time for me to tackle the garage – fun fun fun!! Bet you wish you were me.

Are you doing the shred too? I would love to hear from you and how youโ€™re getting on โ€“ just leave a comment in the box below and I will be sure to reply! (when I have a spare minute of course, being a new mummy is a crazy all-time-consuming job!)

Here are days 1, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7, day 8, day 9, day 10, day 11,ย  day 12, day 13, day 14, day 15, day 16, day 17, day 18 and day 19 if you fancy reading about it.

Day 19

IMG_1638 (667x1000) IMG_1637 (667x1000)

Pre-Pregnancy weight: 50kg Pre-pregnancy waist: 24in Pre-pregnancy thighs: 18in

Weight now: 52.8kg (down 1.1kg from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

Oh My. Could it be true? My weight this morning was a (wait for it…..) 52.8kg. I mean, could the shred be actually working? I mean, I’m still eating all sorts of rubbish still and I’m sat here drinking a small of bubbly, while I wait for a delicious serving of spaghetti bolognese made by the lovely husband. Now that is going to shoot my calorie count through the roof all the way up to mars. I don’t feel any lighter, nor do I see it, but unless my weighing scales are wrong – somethings working. Could the shred actually be doing something? I don’t know – I’ve always hated excising – I find it mind-numbingly boring. Anyway – one more day and I’m on the final day of level 2. You know what that mean – that’s right.. one more day till the start of Level 3, and then 10 days of that and ITS OVER! Goodbye Jillian. Goodbye bleeding plank-jacks. Goodbye miserable squat-lunge-wierd-thing! ๐Ÿ™‚

It has been actually steaming hot here in London these past two days – and I mean STEAMING – how steaming? Try 30deg steaming. Baby C has been hanging out in just her nappies, which is very cute, but along with this freakishly warm weather, come the annoying mosquitoes, so I’m trying to kill them while simultaneously keeping and eye on her little body *cue hand swats and karate kicks on unseen mosquitoes*

Mum and dad are coming down next Friday and I am freaking out. The house is in a state, my hair is in a mess (I can categorically state that I know for a fact my hair will still be mess next friday) and the garage is practically a tip. My mum is a cleaner, and I would hate for her to come visit me just to clean – and I know she will. There just isn’t enough time in the day for me to clean poos, attend strange rhymathons in the park (yes, they do exist, and yes, adults actually do the hokey-cokey in full view of everyone) and clean. Grrrrrrrr. ๐Ÿ™

Anyhow, I have to run off now, but I am most excited to announce….. that I will be doing a review on Urban Decays Naked foundation tomorrow. Ahhh, its the little things that excite me still. Good times! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Cream Review

Ole Henriksen CC Cream

Ole Henriksen CC Cream

What: Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Cream

Where: Online at Feel Unique

How much: ยฃ29.00

I’ve been wanting to try out Ole Henriksen for a while now – it is a staple among my fellow lovely bloggers but their range is so extensive that I just simply didn’t know where to start.ย  Lately I’ve also read tons on the new CC Cream craze. I mean, I’m just getting over the whole BB cream and thee CC’s have already come out. I mean, maybe after I finish writing this post, the DD cream might be out – who knows?

Anyway, back to my CC cream dilemma. There are TONS of them out there. I mean, every major cosmetic brand has one out. Were to start? God alone knows, so I googled ‘best CC’s creams’ and what do you know, Ole Henriksen was in the list among some other familiar brands. AHA! this was the perfect opportunity to get my little grubby hands on owning an Ole Henriksen product, and try out a CC cream at the same time – winner!

Enter Ole Henriksen’s Perfect truth CC crรจme – a makeup hybrid supercharged multi-tasker that’s designed to brighten, protect and perfect all in one simple step. I mean, creams are sure getting hardworking – before you had to use 2, even 3 creams to brighten, protect and perfect, well, now you don’t have to anymore, Ole Henriksen has kindly combined it all in one snazzy tube for your convenience – how very kind of them right?! ๐Ÿ™‚

The product smells of lovely oranges – I don’t know what it is, but I recently tested out Jane Iredale’s mineral makeup line and their primer smelled of oranges too! I used the cream in the colour medium which was perfect – blended in really well. The cream itself doesn’t feel too heavy and covers up most of my imperfections – its buildable coverage so you can use more if you need it. It was very easy to come off too – and, didn’t break me out in spots (always a good sign). Its suitable for all skin types too – mines a mixture of oily t-zone and very dry cheeks.

IMG_1629 (1000x667)

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Cream

Thrown in for good measure is SPF 30 – handy if its a hot day like today – its flippin’ 29deg indoors!!ย  There are a host of other good stuff (did I mention anti-aging too – I mean now I’ve hit 30 it’s all about the anti-aging people!) that went into making this wonder-serum – here are a few that’s listed on their website.

Key ingredients/ benefits:

  • 5 sources of Vitamin C brightens, boosts collagen, firms and provides antioxidant defense:
  • Tripeptide-5 rebuilds and strengthens skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines
  • Ferulic acid provides antioxidant protection and environmental defense
  • Sodium Hyaluronate and Ceramides nourish and replenish moisture
  • Light reflecting pigments provide sheer light to medium coverage and instant luminosity

Instantly PERFECTS:

  • illuminates with light-reflecting pigments
  • diffuses flaws and sheer illuminating coverage
  • nourishes with Sodium Hyaluronate + Ceramides
  • protects with Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Over time CORRECTS:
  • brightens, fades dark spots with 5 sources of vitamin C
  • reduces redness and calms with green tea extract
  • minimizes lines with Tripeptide-5
  • prevents free radical damage with ferulic acid, a powerful antioxidant

If you want to read the full write up, you can do so here – there’s loads more on there!

I think this CC cream has to be the hardest working cream on the block – going by the amount of things its doing to help your skin!

Would I buy it again – yes. Let me tell you why.ย  It feels alot lighter than normal foundation (while managing to provided the same coverage), it smells alot nicer than foundation (hello orange fields of gold!) and it doesn’t have that heavy make-up feeling you sometimes get. The only off putting thing is I guess the price, at ยฃ29.00 its one of the more expensive CC creams out there on the market, HOWEVER, yes, there is a big HOWEVER – if you weigh how much more your getting from the product – I mean, think about it – you don’t have to shell out for a brightener, no need for concealer and no need for sunblock – you’re saving a ton of ยฃยฃkerching-chingยฃยฃ right there dude! Check out my before and after pictures below – sorry about the light exposure on the second picture – camera went a little wonky. As you can see – my skin is quite alot smoother in the second picture.

Weight now: 53.9kg (down .5 from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

Right – so I got up early to do my shred this morning. Doing it in the afternoon just kills me PLUS baby C is often crankier then anyway. Today, the shred is alot more manageable, though I must admit I’m still following the Anita version (for those who don’t shred, Anita does modified versions of the exercises – basically for people like me who are totally out of shape). Only 2 more days to go and then level 3. Am I scared? Of course I am – I value the use of my limbs and something tells me its going to be crazy-hard. OK OK, I peeked at the next level today and that’s how I know its crazy. But, I seek comfort in knowing that its going to be over very soon *gets down on knees and prays* ๐Ÿ™‚ I also did 30 seconds (seemed like an eternity though!) of the dolphin plank – apparently this will help banish the mummy-tummy. *prays doubly hard* ๐Ÿ™‚

I guess you have gathered that I didn’t go out today for my colleagues goodbye lunch – there was no way I would make it in time, Baby C woke up late and I was up from 6am (I have no idea why we didn’t shut the blinds last night, mr sun was not kind to me at all this am) . I mean, I think is still considered rude to turn up to a lunch and doze off during the starters – I mean, things may have changed but how would I know – I never get out of the house anymore. Except to Waitrose if we run out of milk (tea without milk is just a no-no and just so wrong).

Are you doing the shred too? I would love to hear from you and how you’re getting on – just leave a comment in the box below and I will be sure to reply! (when I have a spare minute of course, being a new mummy is a crazy all-time-consuming job!)

Something that’s a little too much? Day 17

IMG_1613 (667x1000)ย  IMG_1615 (667x1000)

Pre-Pregnancy weight: 50kg Pre-pregnancy waist: 24in Pre-pregnancy thighs: 18in

Weight now: 54.4kg (down .2 from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

And so here I am, sat down, with a packet of crisps. That’s right. You heard me. A PACKET OF CRISPS. My thighs have eased up on the hurting-from-hell a little and so I’ve rewarded myself with crisps. Just 3 more days to go until I embark on the third and final level. Tres’ exciting. I mean, theres so much I have to think about – will sports illustrated call me and give me their cover page? Will Victoria Secret come a-knocking? Will the Daily Mail run an article on ‘super-mum achieves 6-pack while juggling baby, household and two crazy doggies? Hahahaha. Who knows? Day-dreaming is fun though ๐Ÿ™‚

Today Baby C has been cranky all day long – hence the late post about my shred, I could only manage to do it after she went down for a grand half an hour just now. I’m feeling a little happier with my body today, I caught sight of myself as I emerged looking like a wet dog from the shower (being a mum now I find I have zero minutes to dry my hair) and I think, *I think* fingers crossed, I’m looking a little more toned. Could it be my eyes playing up? Absolutely, but I would like to think the shredding is working, and if it isn’t, I’m suing Jillian (then it’ll be her turn to feel the deep deep burn!!)

Tomorrow we have been invited to go into town as a colleague is leaving to have her second baby – I’m at odds as to whether we should. On the one had, I’m dangerously close to being a hermit with mold on her as I never go out, on the other hand, it’s such a operation to go out that I’m wondering for 4 hours if it’s really worth my worry (baby C being kidnapped, us disappearing into the Bermuda triangle etc). We’ll see – ill see what the husband says.

Ughhh – another post I’m dying to do is on Bare Minerals mineral foundation, which I bought last year but have yet to try out. Tomorrow (IF) I go out, I could potentially try it out there I guess. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. To go or not to go, that is the question… #firstworldcountryproblems eh ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Right – dinner now, apparently (according to the husband) packets of crisps does not constitute dinner *rolls eyes* Whatever – try eating 5 packets – bet you’ll be full and wont need dinner! Plus, the crisps do say flame grilled steak… hahahhaha! ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you doing the shred too? I would love to hear from you!

Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up Review

IMG_1502 (1000x667)

What: Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up Starter Kit

Where: Online here, Various Nationwide Retailers here

How much: ยฃ39.95 rrp

So recently I’ve had this thing about mineral make-up. Its the whole new rage – lets skin breathe, better for the overall well-being of the skin, longer wearing power, water-resistant (hello to looking glamorous when you get out of the pool!) and free of chemicals. As most of you will know, I’ve had troublesome skin since my teenage years and nothing I’ve tried has proven to be a long-lasting cure. Pregnancy has however, helped my skin a little (instead of having the 10-odd pesky spots at any one time I have 2-5 now hooray!!)

I bought a couple of other mineral foundations last year (MAC and Bare Minerals) but have yet to test them out as yet – partly because while being pregnant I became a hermit and stayed indoors all day, and now I have my beautiful baby C, I still stay indoors all day (irrational fears of kidnapping, falling out of her pram, just disappearing into the Bermuda triangle etc)

This year, I’ve had the amazing opportunity receive two different mineral foundations to test out and blog about (one of which is up-and-coming brand Lily-Lolo – review here)ย  and this post is about the other brand, Jane Iredale.

IMG_1503 (1000x667)

Truth be told – I’ve never actually heard about Jane Iredale – its not sold in your average department store nor will you find it at your local Boots counter. Nope – its quite a specialty make-up brand and is sold in various locations – they have a few in Harley Street and Wimpole Street but you can search online here – just enter your postcode and the geo-locater will search your nearest Jane Iredale make-up stockist. Right – onto the product. Sorry for my babbling – we’re getting there! ๐Ÿ™‚

I was sent the starter kit which retails for ยฃ39.95 which I think is a perfect little kit if you are just starting out on your mineral make-up journey. Its got just the right essentials to get you on your way. Included are; Multi-tasking Amazing Base and PurePressed Base, Smooth Affair luminizing primer, Pommisst Hydration Sprayย and finally a Mini Powder Brush.

Smooth Affair primer and Pommisst Hydration spray

Smooth Affair primer and Pommisst Hydration spray

First I dabbed a tiny amount of Smooth Affair Primer all over my face. The smell of this cream is SIMPLY TO DIE FOR. Its like I died and ended up in a field of the sweetest smelling oranges.ย  I swear, you have to smell it to believe it.ย  It quickly went to work and didn’t feel sticky at all (I hate how some primers make me feel like one big sticky mess before I even put on my make up!) Its a hard-working cream that nourishes and prepares your skin while brightening and moisturizing it, so really its an all-in-one. Did I mention it smells divine yet? ๐Ÿ™‚

Pressed and Loose Base mineral powder with a mini powder brush

Pressed and Loose Base mineral powder with a mini powder brush

Then I applied the Multi-tasking Amazing Base powder all over my face with the mini brush in a circular motion (I find this eliminates harsh make-up lines and blurs in the foundation into your skin nicely) This powder is very light and easy to put on, with buildable coverage too which is always important (eliminates the need for concealers)ย  There is also no fragrance to the powder, so for those who are sensitive to harsh-smelling powders, this will work a treat.ย  After that, I lightly applied the pure PurePressed Base all over to give it a semi-matte look.ย  After that, a quick spritz of the Pommisst Hydration Sprayย to set the minerals in AND to give my skin a dose of healthy anti-ageing botanicals (have you known a harder working spray? Setting my make up AND helping me look young? WINNER!!) ๐Ÿ™‚

The Verdict? The powder instantly gives you a smooth flawless look without making your skin feel heavy. The powder absorbs like a second skin (even the better half couldn’t tell I had make-up on) which is perfect and exactly what you want! The coverage is buildable so you really don’t need much, and you certainly don’t need any concealer. Removing it is easy enough with any cream-cleanser and I managed to keep the make-up on without having to re-apply for half a day, which is an amazing feat. My usual oily zones stayed oil-free too hooray!! Check out my before and after pictures below;

before

before

after

after

It is also worth mentioning that Jane Iredale products are certified cruelty-free by PETA which is so so so great – me being a huge animal lover and all that.ย  Their mineral foundations have also earned the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation and provide four important functions in one; foundation, concealer, sunscreen and active skincare benefits. Jane Iredale have really done their homework and in my opinion a brilliant offering to the cosmetic market. They have conducted extensive tests that are not required for cosmetic manufacturers and because of this – they have come up with a top notch offering that’s kind to your face in today’s harsh environment.

Would I buy it? Most definitely. And I would also recommend it to anyone with especially problematic skin like mine. I would also say to make sure you visit a distributor so you can get the exact match to your skin colour. Mis-matched foundation is just a big no-no ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you tried Jane Iredale’s line? Are you a fan too? I would love to hear from you!

30 day shred day 16

Day 16

IMG_1608 (667x1000)ย  IMG_1609 (667x1000)

Pre-Pregnancy weight: 50kg Pre-pregnancy waist: 24in Pre-pregnancy thighs: 18in

Weight now: 54.6kg (up .2 from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

So – I took the day off yesterday from shredding, it being the world cup finals and all. And what did I do? I ate cake. I ate bread and I ate baklava. Oh yes – I ate for queen and country and this morning while doing my shred I paid for it BIG time. My thighs have become more sore, my arms are about to drop off and my heels (yes, you read right – my heels) are hurting from digging into the carpet. A twitter friend of mine suggested using shoes while doing plank-jacking – but that didn’t ease my 20 minutes of hell one bit. I think the God of shred is angry at me and hence punishing me for skipping two days worth. ๐Ÿ™

Anyway, my mum and dad are flying down to see me next Friday and I was so sure I would have finished my 30 days by then but now I think I won’t be. The last thing I need is my mum seeing me looking like a crazy woman jumping around in my living room. I don not need her thinking I’m madder than I already am – maybe ill just have to do the shred in my garage. Oh no, that would mean I have to tidy out the garage. Arghhh! the problems one has to endure in life!!

I was hoping to embark on a healthy fish week this week – but the husband has just reminded me that he’s bought a huge leg of lamb that has to be cooked tonight. I swear he’s trying to fatten me up – why I do not know. Here I am trying to shift this stubborn 4kg off me, and there he is buying enough lamb to feed a small village and then some. Might do my fish-week next week so look out for that.

Lately I’ve been quite distracted with the way things are panning out in our lives. I’m torn between putting all my effort in helping him with his business and expanding, and really putting effort into blogging (on top of looking after baby C of course). He says only one of these could bring in revenue – the problem is, the other one takes me away from all the craziness that revolves around baby poo and housework. I did tell him I would work on his website, but I’m finding it increasingly hard to find enough time in the day. I hope to God that baby C finds a routine soon (PLEASE GOD OF NAP LET HER NAP IN THE AFTERNOONS), so I can get a free more hours to do other stuff in the day.

Well, she’s been down for about a half hour now, and in that time, I have got to;

  • eat lunch
  • hang the nappies out
  • put a new wash load in
  • look for UK-only holiday destinations (no passport for baby C yet so NY is out until then!)
  • Send off for Baby C’s passport SO we can go to NY
  • do a post for Jane Iredale’s mineral make-up

Are you doing the shred too? I would love to hear from you!

fruity teacake recipe

Fruity tea cake

fruity tea cake

I’ve never been a big fan of fruity tea cake – its the sort of thing that rears it head once a year at Christmas and while I can eat one or two slices then, its just a little too rich for me. Imagine my surprise when I became totally besotted with Euphorium’s cranberry and chocolate tea cake. Even the hefty price tag of ยฃ2.50 a slice didn’t put me off. This weekend I decided before I go bankrupt spending all my money on tea cake, I would try to make it at home instead. ๐Ÿ™‚

This easy to cake tea cake is packed FULL of fruits and goodness – considering there isn’t too much sugar in it (for a healthier option you can even omit the demerara sugar at the end) Takes about 1.15 hours in total to make (of course this is without the soaking of the fruits in tea and orange juice) and tastes really good. The only thing I would change about this recipe when I make it again is I would put less fruits in as I found I couldn’t really taste much cake. I’m also toying with the idea of soaking the fruits in earl grey tea (apparently this tastes great too) so we will see. The cake is quite moist inside too which is great – I hate dry cakes. ๐Ÿ™

Did it taste like the cake from Euphorium? No, but close enough for me (and certainly lighter on the pocket!) All in all – a wonderful addition to our tea time – highly recommended especially if you like fruity cakes. The other half loved it.

What you need:

IMG_1546 (1000x667)

  • 300g mixed dried berries and cherries (I used 250g of this and 50g cranberries)
  • 225ml hot tea (I used yorkshire tea)
  • Juice of 1 orange plus zest (this equates to about 75ml)
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 100g light brown sugar
  • 1 medium egg
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 4 tbsp demerara sugar

Here’s how you do it:

IMG_1550 (1000x667) IMG_1551 (1000x667)

Place dried fruits in a bowl and pour hot tea and orange juice over

IMG_1555 (1000x667)

Cover with cling film then leave for at least 4 hours or better still overnight

IMG_1565 (1000x667) IMG_1566 (1000x667)

IMG_1568 (1000x667) IMG_1569 (1000x667)

Heat oven to 180C/160Cfan/gas 4. Grease and line the base of a 2lb loaf tin. Then beat together the butter and sugar until creamy, then beat in the egg followed by the flour. It will look a little crumbly so don’t worry

IMG_1570 (1000x667)

Give it a big ol’ mix together, making sure that everything is incorporated with each other

IMG_1574 (1000x667)

Pour in the fruit mixture and carefully stir through

IMG_1576 (1000x667)

Don’t worry if it looks like a big mess of mixed fruit and brown liquid – its meant to look like that ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_1578 (1000x667)

Spoon the mixture into the tin, then smooth over the surface with the back of a spoon

IMG_1591 (1000x667)

Sprinkle all over with a thick layer of demerara sugar – this gives the top an extra crunchy topping

IMG_1595 (1000x667)

Bake for 1hour or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.ย  Leave to cook in the tin, then turn out.ย  Cut into slices and serve with a lovely cup of tea!

IMG_1601 (1000x667)

Ta-daa! One lovely fruity tea cake coming right up!

Have you got an easy fruity tea cake recipe? Share it with me – I would love to hear from you!

Weight now: 54.4kg (up .1 from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

First let me apologize for the picture. I am in no way auditioning to be a bra model, it’s just after my shred, I was so sweaty that I just whipped off my top and got the better half to quickly take pictures before the natural light disappeared. I didn’t even think that I was (almost) topless and by the time I was writing this post, the sun had gone down and so no more natural light for me. Basically, I apologize I’m half bloody naked.

Right, I took a day off the shred yesterday as my thighs were just killing me to the point where I thought if I did one more bloody squat-jump thing, my entire leg might drop off. And so, in the interest of continuation, I decided I needed a day off. Back to day 15 today, and, oh yes, my thighs are still so sore. Still – I’m halfway there and that’s all I’m thinking of. Well, that and my poor thighs. Hahaha ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s my day 1 picture versus today’s day 15 picture – can you see a difference?

We went to the park today, it was a lovely day outside, sort of sunny, but not so sunny that you would get a sunburn. There were like millions of people in the park and navigating a pram with the biggest wheels on earth AND two dogs who decided that they simply must walk in different directions was fun to say the least.

Home now and trying to start a bedtime routine with baby C – lest the midwife make me feel like I’m the worse mother on earth because I still don’t have any sort of routine/schedule with baby C. Oh we’ll, we can all but try.

Recently, Ive read alot about ‘CC’ creams.ย  What on earth are these and are they worth the money spent on them? Does anyone have and recommendations of ones they’ve tried?

Here are my days 1, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7, day 8, day 9, day 10, day 11,ย  day 12, day 13 and day 14 of the 30 day shred if you fancy reading about it.

Are you doing the shred too? How are you finding it so far? I would love to hear from you! ๐Ÿ™‚

30 day shred day 14

Day 14

IMG_1494 (667x1000)ย  IMG_1495 (667x1000)

Pre-Pregnancy weight: 50kg Pre-pregnancy waist: 24in Pre-pregnancy thighs: 18in

Weight now: 54.3kg (up .4 from yesterday) Waist now: 25in(same as yesterday) Thighs now: 21in (same as yesterday)

Arghhhhh – my thighs. MY THIGHS! My god-damn THIGHS! Today is the 4th day of level 2 and my thighs have never felt worse. I think those jumping squat things are really digging into my body and yanking out every gut-wrenching sweat gland there is to be had from me. I can’t really walk up the stairs without grimacing so I’ve decided to reside downstairs for a while (try a day maybe!!) However, when I do get hungry (which I will eventually will sometime) I guess I will have to crawl up the stairs. And when I do, you can be sure the other half will hear about it.

I’m starting to get a little concerned – I don’t actually see any difference in my flabby bits – and I’m almost halfway there.ย  Should I be seeing any difference? Or should I just wait till the end of day 30 to really see? Grrrrrr. ๐Ÿ™

Baby C didn’t have the best night. We decided to try out some sort of routine with her, you know, the whole going to bed at 1am at 3 months old just isn’t working out. We bathed her at 8pm and put her down – by 9pm, she was still awake and I was missing the semi-finals of the world cup. she finally drifted off at 9.45pm – right on the half-time clock so that was alright. She stirred a few times, but drifted back off, which was great. After the match, we both went upstairs where we changed her and settled down ourselves and by 1am, we were all asleep. Or so I thought. She decided to get up at 3am, 5am and 7am for boob-juice. Oh yes. I am a walking zombie today. I don;t know if the routine we did threw her off but we’ll be trying it again tonight. That’s right baby C, mummy and daddy are taking their nights back!

I am off to have a quick shower and then do some hula-hooping, though I doubt I’ll get that far, I’m sure I’ll be needed to whip a boob out sometime soon!

Are you doing the shred too? I would love to hear from you!

Here are days 1, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7, day 8, day 9, day 10, day 11,ย  day 12 , and day 13 if you fancy reading about it.
