This syrup sweet cotton candy coral pink number is a lovely slight pink colour. Light, nearly translucent with lovely micro shimmer tones of gold. Another one of my favourites for spring/summer with a floaty summer dresses. I have once or twice used it on a night out over See Sheer lipstick to give my lips that extra shine and it works a treat too – great offset to dark eye shadows, really brings out the colour of this sweet lip gloss.

It adds a slight hint of glossy shimmer to dull lips (like mine!) Another great thing about this lip-gloss is a little goes a long way – I sometimes find MAC lip-glosses a little too thick and sticky so less is definitely more. 🙂

Urban Decay lipgloss review

IMG_1289 (1000x667)

This was the lipgloss that I paired with my Urban Decay lipstick in Naked – review here.

Walk of Shame is a creamy light pink little number with light reflective sparkles that provide a sparkly shine. I tell you another thing I loved about this gloss – its lovely smell. It kind of has a minty smell that is unmistakable. Its quite a high-shine gloss too so less is more with this gloss.

I also love the snazzy packaging. Light rose gold encapsulates a power-punch of colour!

What’s great about this creamy lipstick is Naked Lip Gloss contains many ingredients that are good for your skin – like Hyaluronic Filling Spheres – these are the microspheres and are dehydrated for better penetration. These allow rapid and soft enhancement of lip volume (pouty lips here we come!) vitamin E, avocado oil and shea butter to hydrate and condition lips (think kiss me quick lips!). Rosehip seed oil provides an extra hit of vitamins and antioxidants , including vitamin A and vitamin C.

I would definitely buy this again when I run out – this is such a no-nonsense colour that you could pair with anything. You don’t even have to buy the matching lipstick (I just have a buying addiction to make-up remember!?)

Have a look at the rest of the colours here if you fancy – they retail for £14.00 have 9 shades in all. Have you got a favourite?

Happy glossing lovelies!

MAC Lustreglass Beaux is my only brown-beige lip gloss fused with micro gold sparkle fused into her colour, she’s a lovely, almost nude but still noticeable number. I use this when I’m having one of my neutral make-up days and it provides just the right amount of gloss to get my lippies noticed, but its sheer and subtle enough to be demure. Don’t be fooled at how dark it looks in the tube – I promise you it’s a lot lighter when used.

A very light pink with glitter infused shimmer, this almost see though colour provides just enough shimmer and tones to get you noticed, without being too garish and over the top (think about it – pink with too much shimmer – disaster!) I use this lip gloss mainly in the summer as it such a light, lovely colour to wear – almost…wait for it…. Dreamy. Sigh – you know that one was coming!

My first pro-long wear from MAC new range. One of 10 siblings, I chose Driven By Love as it’s such a vivacious red that I simply had to have it. I was running out of my default red lip glass Venetian, when the MAC artist thought I would like to try something new. This beauty is an intense red with slight shimmer to it – not too much that you go over the top, but enough for you and the one you will be kissing to notice and for me, that’s more than enough. It’s a really shiny lip gloss too and needs very few re-applications to keep it looking fresh. I haven’t really used it for more than 5 hours, so I can only testify to those 5 hours, I re-applied twice – but as this was a dinner, I’m sure if it didn’t involve eating and drinking, I would have maybe had to re-apply once or not even. I got this gloss to go over my Guerlain red lipstick but this baby can stand on her own two feet so she flies solo now – love love love the colour, very Robert Palmer; Addicted to Love, and I, like the song, am addicted to this lip gloss.

MAC Creme Sheen Glass in Over Indulgence is one of my better impulse buys at the MAC store. It’s a creamy pink with brown undertones. At first, I was convinced it wouldn’t match my skin tone as it appeared quite dark, but alas, I was wrong! It’s a gorgeous lush colour and matches really well with my skin tone, I can’t wait for summer to come – this is my official summer 2012 colour. It’s quite rich and can be sticky so mind how much you apply and hopefully it’s not a windy day! BUT who cares! It the gloss fits – wear it!

A very light, pale shade of nude-pink packed with gold shimmer that for me personally, is a tad too light to use on its own. I use this number with MAC’s Sandy B as a base and it looks ok like that on me – I think if I was perhaps a little fairer this lip gloss might work on me by itself, but until that day where living in London turns me pale, I will have to use this as part as a combination.

MAC Lipglass in Pop Mode was bought when i went through my my lips need to look wine phase. I use this plum stained bronze-shimmer gloss over the MAC Hang-Up lipstick (review here) and it looks fabulous.  I love how earthy this colour looks.  When I have the MAC lipstick Hang Up on – you don’t need too much of this gloss – just a dab of it on the top arch of the lip and a touch of it on the bottom lip – just to give the lips that much more shimmer.

I am also a fan of using this tee-total (without a base colour)  Looks lovely with minimal make up – think black eyeliner like YSL Eyeliner Noir, stunning thick eyelashes from either YSL Shocking mascara  or Bourjois Clubbing Blackjack, no eyeshadow, light pink blush on like maybe MAC Dame or Bobbi Brown Nectar and these lovely plum lips – BOOM! Winner all round.

My sister-in-law R gave me MAC Lipglass in Prrr. when I first met her years ago had this gorgeous soft shimmery pink-peach colour on and it really looked lovely against her beautiful fair skin, it really stood out and I decided to ask her what she was using. She told me but before I could get it myself, she bought it for me, and packed in a lovely purple box with mini foam all around it. This was my favourite lip gloss for years but I soon grew out of it. I still use it from time to time, and still, the lovely almost opaque shimmer in the pink-peach undertones mesmerize me. Best used with statement dark eyes.

This peach pink colour is great fullstop. Coming from the Creme Sheen Glass range, its one of only 14 chosen ones of its range and the first one I’ve owned from it. Promising to infuse the creamy nature of their creme sheen lipstick with the shine of Lip Glass. The outcome? A non-sticky, lovely, creamy light pinky-peach number that I’m quite happy to use on its own – the colour is so refreshing on its own that I would hate to take anything away from it. Summer colour? I think so!!
