I have been using this for a couple of months now – ever since I bought it mid-December when I had to hop, skip and jump buy a top up of the triple performing moisturiser – the make-up artist was there and so I took advantage of her expertise and had a gander around the shop and ta-daa! I ended up with Benefit’s ‘that gal’, a lovely twist-stick brightening primer containing light reflecting pigments blended in with raspberry and chamomile to soothe skin (perfect for temperamental skin like mine with a mind of its own!) The only thing I would have liked to have seen was vitamin E in the mix as that really calms my skin.
The first thing you notice about the product is that it’s a lovely shade of bubble gum pink. It blends in really well and is the perfect highlighter. I apply on the apples of my cheeks, the sides of my nose and a dab on my forehead – because it’s quite shimmery – I did not want to use it all over my face – might end up looking like a shiny pink head! It smells divine too and lasts through the day – a bonus is that it does not leave the skin oily – I hate when highlighters do that. No blocked pores and my skin was not dry when I removed this, which is always good.
At £22.50 a stick, it’s not cheap, but you know me, I would never recommend anything that pricey unless it was absolutely brilliant, and yet again, like the POREfessional, this is well worth the pennies I promise!
