I don’t have enlarged pores – never have done (or at least I didn’t think I had until I stopped using this for a while!) I chanced upon the giraffe-leggy sister’s make up bag one morning when I was over at my folks and found this tube hiding at the bottom. It’s said to quickly make the pores smaller, and helps makeup stay put. What’s really great about this is it’s got Vitamin E in it – which is known for its healing properties and protecting the skin from free radicals. It’s a primer of sorts, I would say it’s more of a helper of pores and a smoother of skins. Enter Benefit’s Porefessional.
I love how smooth and matt this balm is once applied to the skin, its silky in texture and blends really well. If I could afford it, I would use it all over my face, alas, at £23.50 for a 22ml tube – it’s not cheap! I use it on the apples of my cheeks and all over my nose. I have pretty oily skin around those areas and love love love the fact that my skin was not oily once I applied this on. The product can be used either before foundation, or after foundation – although using it before foundation helps keep the foundation in place.
I didn’t break out in spots or milia after 1 month of using it – which is always a danger with my skin so I’m happy about that. Once I stopped using it – I began to notice a difference, as in, I was more aware that you could actually see my pores when I used a normal foundation without this product – so now, I use it all the time. I’m so impressed with it that I’ve recommended it to a friend, who I know is a little annoyed about her pores – suffice to say, she now thinks I walk on water.
At £23.50 a go, it’s not cheap, but, I would never recommend anything that pricey unless it was absolutely brilliant and believe me, this product is not just brilliant. There is a reason why this is Britain’s No 1 primer. Its just Pore-fect!!!
