Day 5 – I am almost there. Just.

This morning, I noticed my skin had cleared (a little) I had only 1 solitary pimple on my forehead (which I have immediately popped of course) So, did the cut in salt, sugar, alcohol, all things nice help? I think so – maybe. Did I suffer without it – yes. I do like my salt, sugar and my wine.  Would I cut down on it though? Yes I think so.

I don’t know if it was a bad reaction to a new cream I was testing out – Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. I’m just not sure with my skin, its so hard to tell so I have stopped that temporarily.

Friday I normally go out for lunch and today’s offering is Prezzo with my colleague R.  Its so conveniently placed just under my office building too!

I don’t normally eat meat on Friday (the whole catholic God-fearing burn in hell sort of thing) so I went for a King Prawns with Oak-Roasted Salmon and Leeks in a creamy saffron sauce for £11.95.

It was nice enough – they didn’t salt it at all – and I struggled as i was still on my no salt diet.  Topped off with Parmesan cheese.  A little expensive though – I had 4 prawns and a tiny bit of smoked salmon, although the salmon was divine. I would recommend this if you like fish/prawns (but be prepared with the salt shaker)

R had a huge-ass pizza. This it was called the Quattro Stagioni, with Pepperoni sausage, prosciutto ham, artichoke, mushrooms, capers, marinated olives, mozzarella, tomato.  It was HUGE but boys can eat loads.  He ordered the VIP one, so that came up to about £11.45.

All in all, nice enough, especially for a quick lunch – the churned the food out pretty quickly, they must have know we only had an hour. Not anything different from the next Italian chain though. A little above average at best.

Happy eating!
