St Valentine’s Day. Grown men running around frantically trying to get the best flowers for their partners, double priced chocolate fly off the shelves in record time.. Girls get new lingerie, get their hair done, and wait for flowers to be delivered. Me? Well, the better half had to run off to a work meeting and I, well, I did a wash load, cleaned up the garden of doggy poo-poo and worked on my site. Of course, when the better half came back, little to my knowledge, he had already prepared a ready meal in the fridge for us, which I helped cook. He is perfect in every way that I’m not really – how lucky am I.
For starters, prawn cocktail (tip a splash of brandy in the rosemary sauce – tastes divine) and olive bread.

I love cheese, the smellier, the better. On offer, we have Spenwood, Stinking Bishop (not for the faint hearted or the faint nosed), Camembert, Colston Bassett Stilton, Pecorino, and Cheddar.
