The better half was selling his motorbike (thank God – my heart can only take one accident) and so we were off to Woodford to hand in some paper work.. I had to drive as he’s still not the best with walking – though he’s getting better with the splint on. He mentioned that there was a lovely park just round the corner from where we were and so the babies could come along with us.
Epping Forest – a majestic 6000 acres of ancient woodland in the south-east of England, straddling the border between north-east Greater London and Essex. Its a former royal forest and covers 2476 hectares. That’s BIG.
Part of it reminds me of Buchan Park in East Sussex – but its WAY bigger. And loads more green. And brown. And loads more of everything really.
Fun fact: Richard ‘Dick’ Turpin, the famous highwayman had a hideaway in Epping Forest.
