Mondays are always abit of a paradox on dinner times – made worse by the fact that we did not go shopping on the weekend as we were away. By the time I got home on Monday evening – I was cold, annoyed and not in the mood to cook up a Michelin-worthy meal. The better half suggested pasta and pasta it was – Aglio Olio to be precise. It’s a simple enough recipe – the two main ingredients? Pasta and Garlic. Done. We had some tomatoes left over from last week – so that went into the meal as well – we hate wasting stuff. Its such a clean tasting dish and the best part about it – it takes no time at all to make!
Here are the pictures of our 30 minute lazy masterpiece;
Cut as much garlic (we are garlic fiends) as you want and fry (we put some tomatoes in as well) Fry for a few minutes till fragrant.
Bring to boil some water and put pasta of your choice inside (we used spaghetti). Let it boil for as long as desired – depending on how you like your pasta, we like ours al dente.
Once the pasta is boiled, drain it and toss in the pan you have your fried garlic in. TOSS TOSS TOSS!! Make sure that the garlic is evenly distributed through the pasta, if not one person will just have pasta and the other will just have the garlic!
VOILA! One plate of Aglio Olio. Yum!
