Name: Soap and Glory Flake Away
Where: Boots, Online
I swear by Soap and Glory Flake Away – it is quite possibly, the best body scrub for reptilian legs such as my own (apparently its not very cool to have scaly legs?! who knew!!) And, guess who introduced it to me? Yes – the better half (can he do any wrong – help me out here!!!) A few years ago, we were Christmas shopping in Oxford Circus and ended up in Boots. He was looking at God knows what (boy stuff as usual), and I was looking for more (surprise surprise) make-up. 🙂
Anyway, he came waltzing over with this scrub – and (cheekily) exclaimed ‘hey, look! now you don’t have to have snake legs anymore!!!’ Charming indeed! I have very dry legs – always have done – as does the GLS and my mum, so he was not wrong there. In fact, if you look closely enough, yes, I can understand why he says I have ‘snakey legs’. Its awful to look at but I didn’t think there was any help for my scales – until now. This was my first product from Soap & Glory and what a product it is!
I love the retro feel to their products, this one has ‘Transform your scaly legs from reptilian to radiant!’ No doubt that’s what drew the attention of the better half!
I use this shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar once a week and the results are brilliant. I wish I knew i was going to write a blog about products ages ago and taken before and after pictures. The scrub is not harsh on the skin – you know how some exfoliators can hurt as they can be quite grainy – well this one is not. And it smells good enough to freakin’ eat.
My legs I hear you ask? Well, they are 100 times smoother, and the scales? Still there, but sooooo much better (see pictures below of almost non-scaly legs) The better half is astonished at the results (though he is extremely happy) and I am beyond happy. I know its not completely gone – but its a damn sight better – trust me on that one! After my shower, a light film of moisturizer is left on my skin leaving them silky smooth. Did I mention the gorgeous smell yet?!
And no – before you ask, I have not been paid to write such good reviews about this product by Soap and Glory. It just really is an outstanding product for not very much money at all. In fact, I have just bought my second pot and Boots at the moment, is having a 3 for 2 sale on Soap and Glory products and I bought two other Soap and Glory scrubs to try; Breakfast Scrub and Sugar Crush so look out for those reviews soon! I would 100% recommend this scrub if like me, you have very dry (and scaly) skin. It really does work!
Get it online here if you can’t pop by the shop.
“it might be fine if her friends are flaky, but a lady’s legs should never be!’ Hahaha. Gotta love their brilliant quotes!
