Bali Thai

In a funny turn of events, our neighbour A, which whom we are good friends with, happened to do a stop over in Singapore on his way to dive in Indonesia. He came to our wedding and so knew some of my cousins and we all decided to go out for dinner.  One of my cousins is Muslim and so we went to Bali Thai – a fusion of Balinese-Thai food – halal too!. The restaurant is OK – nothing out of the ordinary – basically nothing that would blow your head off – I did like the starter and the dessert but the Thai Curry was not to my liking, too tame in my opinion. Here are some pictures I took;

This was one of my favourite dishes – it is HUGE prawns tossed in egg.  Be warned though – its a little on the sweet side (which was fine for me as I was born with sweets for teeth!)

My favourite dessert of ALL time

My favourite dessert of ALL time

If there is one dessert that I would be stuck on a dessert island with its this.  The Thai’s really know their mango sticky rice drizzled with warm coconut cream on! It such a rich desert and the warm coconut blends effortlessly with the sweetness of the mango.. You HAVE to try this dessert. Thank me later. 😉

All in all – an OK-ish, mid-priced range restaurant, perfect if your on a budget.  Definitely some things worth trying (the dessert for one).
